1. Scope and service operator
This notice applies to the Percentage, VAT and Interest Calculator for iOS and Android and to its support site. The app is operated by Alex Omanski, an individual independent developer based in Israel who owns the original code he developed for the app and site. Alex Omanski is the controller of the personal data described in this notice. For privacy questions or rights requests, email app@omanski.co.il. Requests are handled in writing by email; no telephone support line is offered.
This notice describes the service on the update date. A section that expressly names version 1.2.0 applies only after that version is installed; all other sections describe the service currently available. This notice does not replace the terms or privacy policies of Apple, Google, EmailJS, or Cloudflare.
The app does not offer registration or an account managed by the operator. You can use the calculators without providing a name or email address; those fields are requested only if you choose to submit the in-app support form.
The app is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly ask children to submit personal information through the support form. If you believe a child submitted information, email the address above and we will handle it as required by applicable law.
2. Data stored on your device
The app stores up to 100 history records on the device. A record can contain the calculation type and mode, title, inputs and results, display-currency code, VAT rate, and timestamps. Local preferences can include the VAT rate, display currency, theme, onboarding state, and a calculation counter. On iOS, a local remove-ads entitlement flag is also stored. Selecting a currency changes display formatting only; the app does not download exchange rates or convert values using a current market rate.
You can delete one record, clear history, or choose Delete All Data in Settings. The last option deletes local history and app preferences and resets them to defaults. It does not delete the App Store-managed remove-ads entitlement, reset UMP choices, send a deletion request to EmailJS, Google, Apple, or Cloudflare, or cancel a purchase.
The Android build asks the operating system to exclude app data from cloud backup and device-to-device transfer; behavior can vary by device manufacturer. On iPhone, app data may be included in iCloud or computer backups depending on Apple settings. Deleting data in the app therefore does not necessarily erase a copy that already exists in an operating-system backup.
3. Support requests you submit
When you choose Settings > Contact and submit the form, your name, email address, message, and the app name are sent through EmailJS to the support mailbox. The form limits messages to 500 characters. This information is used to deliver, handle, and respond to your request.
According to the EmailJS policy, the service stores request activity and metadata; request-activity logging can be disabled in the email-template settings. Data in an active EmailJS account is retained for 30 days. IP addresses are not kept permanently by default, but may be held temporarily for security and abuse prevention. The copy delivered to the support mailbox has no fixed retention period configured by the app code and may remain under the mail provider's settings until manual deletion or a verified deletion request is handled. You may email app@omanski.co.il to ask whether a request is retained and to request access, correction, or deletion. Handling depends on our ability to verify that the request relates to you, applicable law, and legal limitations. Do not include payment details, identification numbers, or sensitive financial information that is not needed to handle the request.
4. Advertising, consent, and analytics
Google Mobile Ads and UMP
The app integrates Google Mobile Ads to display ads and the User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain consent status information and show privacy choices when required. The ads system is initialized only when UMP reports that ads may be requested.
Google states that the Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares IP address, from which approximate location may be inferred, app and ad interactions, diagnostic information, and device or advertising identifiers for advertising, measurement, security, and fraud prevention. The ad-serving mode and use of identifiers depend on region, device settings, and privacy choices. The app does not claim that all ads are personalized or that all ads are non-personalized. App Tracking Transparency on iOS
In iOS version 1.2.0 and later, after the UMP flow is complete and only when UMP permits ad requests, the app may check the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) status. Where GDPR applies, ATT is not requested without consent for TCF Purpose 1. If ATT may be requested and no choice has been made, iOS presents its system request before Google Mobile Ads is initialized. The request is intended to permit use of the advertising identifier (IDFA) to show more relevant ads and measure advertising across other companies' apps and websites.
Denying or restricting permission does not block any feature. You can continue to use every calculator, and Google Mobile Ads may still show ads without sending the IDFA. UMP choices and device settings continue to apply even when ATT is authorized. iOS controls presentation of the request and changes to the permission in the device privacy settings.
Firebase Analytics
Firebase Analytics is disabled by default. The app may enable it when UMP reports that consent is not required in the region, or when a choice permitting storage and access to information on the device has been obtained. Even when Analytics is enabled, the app sends Firebase a denied value for ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization. When Analytics is disabled, the app does not log its custom events and automatic collection is configured off.
Custom events describe calculator type and mode, entry point, actions such as completing a calculation, copying, sharing, and reusing history, selected categorical options, platform, and app version. Advertising and purchase events can also describe ad placement and format, consent steps, remove-ads offer state, ad revenue metadata, and shortened technical error metadata. They do not contain input or result amounts, your name, email address, or contact message.
When Firebase Analytics is active, Google Analytics for Firebase also collects standard events and information such as a randomly generated app-instance identifier, session data, device information, and approximate location. 5. App stores and purchases
Apple and Google process information required to download, update, and distribute the app according to your account and store settings. The iPhone version offers a one-time App Store purchase to remove ads and can restore a previous purchase. StoreKit returns product information, transaction status, a transaction identifier, and current entitlements to the app to complete the flow. The app code persists only the local entitlement state and does not include the transaction identifier in its custom analytics events. Apple handles the account, payment method, and refunds. The current implementation uses StoreKit 2 and does not call Firebase's transaction-logging API, so this flow does not send Firebase a product ID or name, price, currency, quantity, or transaction identifier. When Firebase Analytics is active, the app sends custom categorical events stating that the remove-ads purchase completed or was restored and the offer source; these events may be associated with the app-instance identifier. The Android version currently has no remove-ads purchase flow.
6. Support site and browser calculator
This is a static site with no contact form or third-party measurement script. The calculator runs in your browser and does not send the amount or rate you enter to a server.
The site stores only an explicit language choice in browser storage under taxapp-site-language. You can remove it by clearing this site's browser data. Cloudflare Pages hosts and protects the site and may process IP addresses, request details, security data, and technical logs. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
7. Retention and security
Local app data remains until you delete it in the app, clear the app's operating-system data, or uninstall the app, subject to operating-system backup copies. The site language choice remains until you clear site data. Google Analytics retention is set in the Analytics property and is not visible in the app source. EmailJS states that data in an active account is retained for 30 days; the copy delivered to the support mailbox currently has no fixed retention period. Google Ads, the mail provider, Apple, and Cloudflare retain data according to account settings, service needs, applicable law, and the relevant provider policy.
The app and site use platform security measures and HTTPS connections, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed.
8. Your choices and rights
- Delete calculation history or local app data in Settings.
- Manage advertising privacy choices when UMP makes the entry point available.
- Stop future Firebase Analytics collection by changing privacy choices when the UMP entry point is available. This does not erase information already processed.
- Remove the language choice by clearing site data in your browser.
- Ask to access, correct, or delete a submitted support request, subject to applicable law and legal limitations.
Your local law may provide additional rights, such as restriction or objection. Contact the privacy address above to ask about a request.
Request deletion of a submitted support message
- Email app@omanski.co.il from the address used for the support request, with the subject “Data deletion — Tax Calculator.”
- Include the approximate date and subject of the request so we can locate it. Do not send an identity document or financial information; if more verification is needed, we will request only proportionate information required to match the request.
- After verification, we will delete the name, email address, and message content held in the support mailbox under our control, and request deletion from EmailJS when the data is available to us in the service account. We will reply after handling the request.
We may retain a limited record when required by law, for security, or to handle a dispute. Backup copies, provider logs, and advertising or Analytics data outside our direct control are deleted under the relevant provider's schedules and tools. History and preferences stored only on the device must be removed with Delete All Data in Settings; an email request cannot erase them remotely. Because there is no user account, if no matching support request is found, we will explain that we do not hold account data to delete.
9. Providers and international processing
The app is offered through storefronts selected for distribution and may be available internationally in English or Hebrew. Store availability does not mean that tax rates, loan terms, or calculation results are adapted to local law; verify binding information with an authoritative source.
Apple, Google, EmailJS, and Cloudflare may process information in different countries. Processing is subject to each provider's infrastructure, agreements, and policies: Google, Apple, EmailJS, and Cloudflare.
